In Søstrene Grene, you can find several products that are labelled or certified by various
official authorities and organisations within health, environment and sustainability.

Here, you can read about the individual labels and certifications.

The Cosmos certification is a European standard for cosmetic products. The Cosmos certification guarantees that products are made from natural ingredients, showing respect for the environment and without the use of GMOs in producing the raw ingredients.

The Cosmos certification demands that leave-on products, e.g. creams that you apply and leave on the skin, contain 20 % ingredients from organic farming. Whereas the requirements for rinse-off products, e.g. soaps that are applied to the skin, but then removed shortly after, are that they contain at least 10 % ingredients from organic farming.

The FSC label is a guarantee that the product was produced under proper conditions and stems from forests that are managed sustainably, which for instance means that no more wood is cut than what the forest can manage to reproduce naturally. In an FSC-certified forest, rare plants, springs and streams are preserved. Animals and plants are safeguarded. Native and local populations are protected, and the people who work in the forests are guaranteed proper economic conditions.

At Søstrene Grene, the majority of paper-based products are FSC-certified and some of the wooden furniture too. When consumers choose to purchase an FSC-certified product, they help protect nature and the social conditions in the forests from which the wood originates. The FSC label is used worldwide.
