MATERIALS FOR ANNA’S WOOLLEN SHAWL:
Anna and Clara’s 100% wool (50 g)
5 balls (250 g)
Circular knitting needle, size 6 mm.
length 80 cm.
HOW TO KNIT A WARM WOOLLEN SHAWL
Using circular knitting needle, size 6 mm, length 80 cm, cast on 8 sts. (Work back and forth on the circular needle)
Row 1: (right side)
Slip 1 knitwise, *increase 1 st in each of next 2 sts, knit 1 st*, repeat from * to * once more, knit 1
Row 2: (wrong side)
Slip 1 knitwise, purl to end (12 sts)
Row 3: (right side)
Slip 1 knitwise, *increase 1 st, knit 2 sts*, increase 1 st, knit 1 st, repeat from * to * twice
Slip 1 knitwise, purl to end (16 sts)
Continue increasing 4 sts on each knit row until the shawl has the desired size.
If you have knitted the shawl in single- colour yarn, you could choose to switch to a different colour for the last 8 rows.
Finish by working 1 row in garter stitch on wrong side and cast off on the next knit row.
Weave in ends.
